Djibouti Candidate makes final statement on withdrawing from AU race

Djibouti Candidate for the African Union Commission Chairperson seat Mahmoud Ali has made his final position on withdrawing from the race as he meets with the Tanzanian President Samiah Suluhu.

Ali met with his Suluhu he continues to drum for support for his candidature in the upcoming elections.

“I had the honour and privilege to be received this morning by HE Mme Samia Suluhu Hassan , the Pdt of the United Republic of Tanzania” he said

He has clarified that he is still in the race and that his friends and supporters should ignore the fake news that he is withdrawing in support for the Kenyan candidate Raila Odinga.

He says that such fake news are being peddled by his adversaries to distract his supporters and mislead them.

“Rest assured dear friends and supporters , I am still in the race and doing well so farDon’t bother yourself with fake news, it is a trivial attempt by my adversaries to distract my supporters and mislead them.” He added

Rumours had been floating that Raila might become the sole Candidate in the elections as Ali was set to step down. He is seen as the closest rival to Raila.
