The teacher, Martiun Mutetei, who heads Nthonzweni Primary School in Makueni County was apprehended by the police manning the Kaiti ACC container centre. He was said to have been intoxicated and untidy by the time of his arrest undertaken by the officers in conjunction with the county’s education directors. “He was immediately arrested and placed in police station cell Mukuyuni and subjected to alcoholic test,” a police statement read partly. Muteti would later be replaced at the centre by his deputy as per the directives from the Kenya National Examination Council and the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
