Good News To Unemployed Teachers As TSc Says This
Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is the only Commission in Kenya that is mandated to recruit, promote, transfer and remunerate teachers.
The commission which is currently under the leadership of doctor Nancy Macharia has been working round-the-clock to ensure that all schools in the country are well equipped with the correct number of teachers expected to handle the learners.
In a bid to balance the teacher-student ratio Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has been recruiting teachers on a yearly basis especially those expected to serve in the Junior school.
However, the commission is also planning to another recruit another 1,500 teachers who will replace those teachers who exited the service through natural attrition sickness or even death.
With the current guidelines from the commission most unemployed teachers have been anxious to know when the recruitment process will take place. In what has been received as a revelation however TSC chief executive officer has revealed that the teachers will be recruited in December this year.
This according to her will not interrupt the smooth running of the National exams which are expected to begin by 28th of September 2023. This has been received as good news to unemployed teachers who will now secure a chance for employment.
