Gachagua Sends Bold Message To Mp Wamuchomba After Rejecting The Finance Bill.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua voiced his disapproval of Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba’s decision to vote against the Finance Bill in Parliament. Gachagua emphasized that he cannot afford to jeopardize his position as Deputy President by allowing the MP’s opposition to government projects, especially considering he was elected under the UDA party.

Addressing the residents of Githunguri, Deputy President Gachagua expressed gratitude to the electorate for voting for William Ruto as president. He also commended National Assembly Leader of Majority Kimani Ichungwah for his efforts in mobilizing MPs to support the Finance Bill.

Gachagua highlighted the significance of the Finance Bill, emphasizing that it would provide funding for crucial development projects in the region. He further urged Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichungwah to continue championing the government’s agenda in Parliament.

Gathoni Wamuchomba, the Githunguri MP, surprised many by voting against the Finance Bill. Describing the bill as punitive, oppressive, and scandalous, she stood in opposition to the UDA party’s stance of supporting the government’s agenda in Parliament. As a result, Wamuchomba and other UDA leaders who deviated from the party’s position may face disciplinary proceedings in the coming days.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s criticism of Gathoni Wamuchomba’s decision to vote against the Finance Bill reflects the concerns of the UDA party. While expressing gratitude to the constituents for their support, Gachagua stressed the importance of unity in advancing the government’s development agenda.

The contrasting positions taken by Wamuchomba and the party have raised the likelihood of disciplinary actions against those who opposed the Finance Bill. As political dynamics continue to evolve, it remains to be seen how these internal conflicts will shape the future trajectory of the UDA party and its members.
