Raila’s plan to fix Nyanza
In order to promote the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in his Nyanza stronghold, opposition leader Raila Odinga has started a significant pushback strategy against President William Ruto’s allies.
The latest political offensive is reportedly aimed at those President Ruto nominated to important government positions as well as opposition Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) MPs who have endorsed the Kwanza administration in Kenya.
In the rollout, government representatives led by ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo, Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo, Trade Cabinet Administrative Secretary (CAS) Evans Kidero, Roads and Transport CAS Nicholas Gumbo, and his Mining and Blue Economy counterpart Fred Outa will counter relief food distributions in the area.
In order to highlight how the current administration has marginalized the region, Mr. Odinga plans to frequently visit the area with his brigade. The group is focusing on a number of initiatives that former President Uhuru Kenyatta started but that his successor later abandoned.

The assault also targets renegade MPs with the intention of supporting their replacements.
Tom Ojienda, a senator from Kisumu, and the representatives Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Phelix Odiwuor (Lang’ata), and Mark Nyamita (Uriri) are among those who have been marked.
Mr Odinga on Wednesday chaired a meeting for ODM’s Central Management Committee. He has scheduled a National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in the course of next week to put in motion the plan.
ODM Chairman John Mbadi reaffirmed the party’s decision to start interacting with the populace in order to combat UDA members’ propaganda in the area that Mr. Odinga was to blame for the region’s lack of progress.
A party must contend for its place. There are those traitors who seek to demonstrate that Raila has accomplished nothing. As a party, we intend to interact with the populace. Allow them to continue as they are, but they will eventually encounter resistance. In Nyanza, I’ll be in charge of that pushback, Mr. Mbadi added.
