Bukayo Saka’s New Arsenal Contract: Life-Changing Deal Worth
Arsenal are likely to guarantee the long-term future of promising attacker Bukayo Saka, with the England international expected to sign a new contract with the Emirates side soon.
Saka has had another spectacular season with Arsenal, notching career-high totals in both Premier League goals and assists as Mikel Arteta’s team has surprised skeptics by keeping the title battle alive until the closing stages of the season.
Despite being one of Arsenal’s most essential players for more than two years, Saka’s current contract does not compensate him for his current squad status.
That is about to change, as the 21-year-old, who has an Expected Transfer Value (xTV) of €86.1 million, is close to signing a new contract.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed reports from the Independent on Monday that an announcement is imminent.
“Bukayo Saka will sign new contract soon as it’s only matter of time. It was agreed two months ago, it’s sealed — there are no changes,” he tweeted. “New deal will be valid until June 2028 — Arsenal announcement expected soon.”
His current contract expires in 2024, prompting suspicion that Manchester City could make a summer bid for him if no new agreement is reached.
According to March reports, Saka’s new Arsenal contract will pay him £300,000 per week, for a total yearly salary of £15.6 million. This is a significant increase from his existing contract, which pays him £3.6 million per year, or £70,000 per week.
Saka will earn £78 million over the course of his new five-year contract.
Saka is expected to be one of Arsenal’s top earners. Gabriel Jesus allegedly earns £15.9 million per year, but given the incentive system in such deals, Saka may reclaim more than the Brazil international.
