Ezekiel’s church is tax compliant
According to a document from the Kenya Revenue Authority, Pastor Ezekiel Odero’s New Life Prayer Centre and Church filed tax returns in a timely manner.
According to the paper, which is dated June 2022, Ezekiel’s church had paid off all outstanding taxes.
This is to certify that New Life Prayer Centre and Church (Personal Identification Number: P051523861H) has submitted all required tax forms and paid all taxes owed in accordance with the law, according to a portion of the statement.
“This certificate will be valid for 12 months up to June 28, 2023.”
The emergence of the certificate comes a day after Attorney General Justin Muturi revealed that the church has never filed annual returns.

The church is facing closure after the Registrar of Societies wrote a show-cause letter for failing to comply with some regulations.
Pastor Ezekiel Odero’s Good Life Church has never filed yearly returns, according to the office of Attorney General Justin Muturi.
On Wednesday, Muturi stated that although his office had recorded that preacher Odero’s church had complied with all requirements at the time of registration, it had recently stopped filing tax returns.
“There are just 14 regions where the registrar’s office has offices. We might have seen what was going on if we had been in Kilifi, he claimed.
His office claimed that althoughthe church had complied with all requirements at the time of registration, subsequent tax reports had not been filed.
The AG revealed the information to the Senate ad hoc committee looking into killings in Shakahola, Kilifi County, on Wednesday.
The New Life Prayer Centre could be shut down since it hasn’t submitted tax records for the last ten years.
