“I Will Set The Servers Record Straight,” Chebukati Announces ,New Details Emerge.
The former Chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Mr Wafula Chebukati has taken to his Twitter account celebrating after his project on the role of technology in improving integrity during an electoral process was accepted by Electoral Integrity Project.
He further stated that during this function, he intends to demystify ‘the server’ in the last General elections held on August 2022.
This has been a bigger concern for the political leaders allied to the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya alliance led by Raila Odinga.
His announcement comes shortly after his wife was shortlisted for a top government job position.
Under Kenya’s Kwanza government, Mary Chebukati Wanyonyi, the spouse of former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission chairman Wafula Chebukati, has been shortlisted for a top government position a second time.
Ms. Chebukati is one of the 10 finalists for the job of Chairperson of the Revenue Allocation Committee, according to the Public Service Commission.
On May 11, 2023, at the Public Service Commission’s Nairobi offices, Ms. Chebukati will be the fourth of five applicants to be interviewed.
Candidates will be questioned about their credentials, experience, and appropriateness for the post throughout the two-day interviews.
The Revenue Allocation Committee is in charge of deciding how tax money is distributed across Kenya’s several counties.
There are equally as many men and women among the 10 finalists for the role of chair of the revenue allocation committee.
