The Kenya Kwanza leaders who are president Ruto and his deputy Gachagua will make Kenyans to rethink their decisions in August poll. From today’s news parent with children who sat in the 2022 KCSE exams have received another tweet from Today’s Nation. The government through the ministry of education has informed that Students who are going to join public universities are going to pay varying amounts starting this year depending on the university one attends. This new proposed model is going to be effective when the KUCCPS places the 2022 KCSE Candidates to their respective higher learning institutions.
Starting this year the government has declared that Universities will be required to declare their tuition fees as students are going to do their applications including all programs they offer so that students choose programs while also considering their costs. This is one of the recommendations made by the presidential working party on education reform. Also they have recommended an increase in University fees although a figure is yet to be determined. It is high time for parents to know there will be consequences in the universities that they are going to choose for their children. Example even though different universities will offer the same course but the cost will not be the same.
