Wiper Mp Decries Being In Opposition, Wants To Join Kenya Kwanza
Says here’s no need for demos, as there is need to give bipartisan talks a chance
Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna is tired of being in the opposition yet there are no gains for him and his constituents
Nguna said the agenda in Ukambani is to have good roads, availability of water, electricity, and good education, among other development projects.
“If the government develops our region, we have no alternative other than to join the Kenya kwanza government,” Nguna said in Mwingi West during a meet the people tour.
The MP said he will lead his constituents in joining the government. maintaining he was tired of being in the opposition
He rubbished anti-government demos spearheaded by Azimio leader Raila Odinga and his Wiper counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka, stating it is barely a year since the new government got to power.
“Let us respect everyone and give them time to deliver their manifesto to Kenyans.It is too early to start judging leaders,” the Wiper MP said.
He also said the leaders should be supported for peace to prevail and stabilize the country economically.
“There’s no need for demos, let’s give bipartisan talks a chance,” he added
He said the biggest expectation in the constituency is the completion of the Kibwezi-Kitui-Mbondoni road, which stalled at Kwa Siku area in Mwingi West.
“The project is an economic game changer,” Nguna said, noting that Sh150 million has been released by the national government to get the contractor back on site.
“The road is in very bad state and I plead if the road would first be upgraded to motorable state as locals await tamarcking,” he said
He announced that Roads PS Eng Joseph Mbugua had promised completion of the road, urging leaders and locals to support the President’s agendas.
