A Long Two Month Break starts for Students As Government Releases 2023 Calender.
Starting Monday, November 23, and ending on Friday, December 25, Kenyan elementary and secondary schools will be closed for the holiday.
Since students have been out of school all week, the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA), Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) can finally begin.
The KPSEA examinations for the first group of sixth graders will begin on November 28 and go through November 30. Class eight students will take their exams simultaneously as the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).
Examinations for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) practical component began on November 21 and will continue through December 2. The KCSE written component will continue through December 23.
The grading period for the KCSE examination will then extend from January 2, 2022, to January 20, 2022.
Because of the COVID-19 epidemic, the academic calendar was thrown off for a while, but it will return to normal in January 2023.
The start day of the new school year is scheduled for Tuesday, January 23, and the end of the first semester is set for Friday, April 21.
Term two will go for 13 weeks, from May 8th to August 11th, much like the first. The following two weeks will be a break.
Next, on August 28, the third and final semester will begin through November 3
