Beans spilled; CBC To Be Delayed For Another Five Years To Allow The Government Do The Following.

Even before the contents of the Presidential Working Committee on Education Reforms report are revealed to the public, members of the team have allegedly spoken to the media and spilled the beans about the report on condition of anonymity.

According to inside reports, the ( PWCER ) has allegedly proposed that the country goes through a five year transition to phase out of the 8-4-4 system.

The five year transition period means that the rollout of the Competency Based Curriculum ( CBC ) be delayed for the next five years to allow the government handle some of the pertinent issues facing the curriculum.

According to the Working Committee, the creation of the transition period will give time to government to address the infrastructure issues, teachers gaps and preparation and deal with the issues on ‘parent responsibility’.

The committee is allegedly confident that the government would have build the required infrastructure and fully prepared teachers for the full rollout of the curriculum.
