Raila woken Up To A Morning Shocker As Ruto Welcomes 59 Azimio Mps For A Discussion At Statehouse .
For the purpose of seizing control of parliament, President William Ruto is looking for 59 members of parliament from the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya opposition coalition.
Details indicate that the Kenya Kwanza would be assisted in enacting the desired constitutional modifications.
According to sources, President Ruto urged his allies to take advantage of the ongoing unrest in Azimio to ensure that the majority of the MPs from Azimio joined Kenya Kwanza during the meeting of Kenya Kwanza MPs held on Wednesday.
First-term MP: “The President told us that he wants Jubilee MPs to join Kenya Kwanza so that we have a big enough number to accomplish our goals.”
According to reports, a second lawmaker from President Ruto’s home region of the Rift Valley confirmed this.
In order to make Kenya Kwanza stronger, the MP said that when the man said to disturb the Azimio, he really meant to ensure that we convince some of the party’s lawmakers to join us.
Didmus Barasa of Kimilili, a supporter of President Ruto, informed Taifa Leo that they need additional MPs to swiftly pass all of Kenya Kwanza’s plans.
In the National Assembly, the ruling coalition is represented by 179 MPs as opposed to 157 for Azimio, according to additional information.
Because 233 MPs are needed to pass constitutional amendments, the ruling coalition does not have enough members to do so. To easily control the National Assembly, Kenya Kwanza will therefore require 59 more MPs.
